I originally graduated with a Diploma of Physiotherapy in Germany I then went on to complete a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago. Living in the Central Otago region I enjoy the outdoors and getting amongst local sporting events.

Fred Lait

Fred has over 15 years’ experience as a practicing physiotherapist and over a decade of experience as a performance coach in the New Zealand health and fitness landscape.

Fred has continued to hone his practice over time and it is his belief that movement and consistency are at the core of rehabilitation, before the addition of load and intensity. 

He specifically educates his clients on the ‘why’ of movements and the ‘how’ of application, meeting them where they are at.

Both personally and professionally, Fred views injury as an opportunity for personal development. In his practice, injury is an opportunity to improve joint health, increase range of motion and strength and apply the principles of movement and consistency to allow clients to recover, stronger in both body and in mind.

Fred moved to New Zealand in 2010 from Edinburgh.  When he isn’t working he spends as much time as possible with his young family.
